ARI LENNOX – age/sex/location Tour
Atlanta has notoriously been known as the “Rap Capital” for over two (2) decades due to the southern influences of many names whose impact is still felt in the current era.
Whether talked about or not however, the R&B influence of Atlanta has also spanned decades with names such as Jermaine Dupri, Usher, Monica and The-Dream to name a few.
The presence of a soulful, southern charm assists in characterizing this city; Making it a hot destination for R&B musicians.
The charisma of Atlanta was felt the entire night on Sunday, February 26th for Ari Lennox‘s age/sex/location sold out tour stop at the Coca-Cola Roxy.
It was a sight to see the radiant energy from the crowd with packed lines outside the building, eager to see one of music’s best vocalists. Inside the venue was packed wall-to-wall which felt eerily different as opposed to a rap concert hosting the Cobb County venue.
Ari Lennox has the demand to command a sized audience so this is nothing out of the ordinary for the Dreamville star.
LVRN’s Alex Vaughn opened for Ms.Lennox and shined. She showcased her talents on the keys while harmonizing various records. You could feel the passion in every note she recited. With her vocals on full display, Alex Vaughn is a name to continue watching rise and a major highlight of the tour. She closed her set with hit song “So Be It” and the crowd went into an ecstatic applause to send her off.
A night filled with a lustful, alluring energy entered a new atmosphere when Ari Lennox took the stage. She put on a performance of a lifetime; Accompanied by an all-female background cast of drummers, guitarists and singers to help narrate an amazing concert.
The live band was an exciting addition to her show and made the sonics even more glamorous than they already are.
The setlist ranged from the age/sex/location album to many smash records from Shea Butter Baby and even a performance of Backseat feat. Cozz.
No question could ever be asked if the microphones were on as Ari’s elegant voice commanded the room. She also controlled the crowd in true MC style; Engaging and ensuring their emotions were detected throughout the evening.
An hour long performance set and no moment went ignored. It was a night to remember filled with great music, phenomenal vocals and an ambience that cannot be easily duplicated.
The D.C. songstress is in the midst of a sensational tour and if you are able to score tickets to a show, this is a must. It will be exciting to see how she continues her forward momentum. Hopefully, new music is also on the horizon.
